Recall: Norcold 838 and 8310 models have had an active recall for several years. To determine if the recall has been done on your unit, simply look at the eyebrow board (inside panel where the controls are mounted), there should be 7/16" diameter buttons at EACH end. If both buttons are present then the recall has been done and these boards may be used for replacement. If you find one button or none then you should contact a local dealer to have the recall parts installed. You will need to provide the model and serial # of your refrigerator.
